Swiss Network Holiday Luncheon

Dear Seattle Swiss,

Please join us on Friday, December 17th, noon at Bennett’s Pure Food Bistro on Mercer Island.

This charming eatery got great reviews from our group last time we went there (with the Swiss Consul), and we thought it’d be a nice place to celebrate the Holidays together.
As usual, please bring cash to cover your meal & beverage (menu available on the restaurant’s website).

Dear Seattle Swiss,

With the Fourth of July behind us, it won’t be long before the Swiss National Holiday! Please join us on Friday, July 30th, noon, at Alpendland Delicatessen in Mercer Island.

For those of you who haven’t been there yet: this is a charming, casual little restaurant featuring Swiss/Bavarian comfort food.
Depending on your order/beverage, anticipate your lunch to be about $15 plus tax & gratuity, and please be prepared to pay cash (it makes things a lot easier).

I would appreciate if you can confirm your attendance no later than Wednesday, July 28th.

Please join Philippe Goetschel, Honorary Consul of Switzerland, Seattle next Friday for this lecture and cocktail reception. The lecture events are organized in connection with the publication of the bi-lingual anthology, entitled “Young Swiss Writers” edited by Prof. Romey Sabalius and Prof. Michael Wutz.
(The Anthology will be published in February 2007 in the bi-lingual contemporary German-language literature magazine “Dimension2″ Ingo R. Stoehr, Editor; Web: http://hometown.aol.com/germanlit/dimension2.html )
Martin R. Dean was born and educated in Switzerland. He studied German, Ethnology and Philosophy at the University of Basel. His numerous travels brought him to different European countries as well as to several more distant locations. He is working as an independent author and journalist in Basel. www.mrdean.ch
Daniel Zahno lives and works in Basel an author, moderator and reviewer. His first book “Doktor Turban” received numerous prizes. He received a scholarship to work at the Ledig House in New York and was invited as a guest by the Istituto Svizzero in Venice.
